         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>Primary or 1° </em>takes longer to regrow because soil is ultimately destroyed. <em>Secondary or 2° </em>takes a shorter time because the soil is still there after the destruction. Primary also takes an extended period of time since there is nothing but rock, which results in a pioneer species being needed to restart the ecosystem. </div>]]></description>
