This activity can be differentiated by using different level texts or by providing patterned or predictable text. That way the student can know what to expect. Partner reading is another classroom activity that can help build fluency. This activity can be differentiated by pairing a high reader with a lower reader or pairing children on the same reading level to reread a familiar text. </div>]]></description>

Expand by asking the students if they can think of any other words that may rhyme. Sound Scavenger Hunt allows the teacher to pick a letter sound and hunt for items in the classroom that may start with that sound. This lesson can be differentiated by providing children with two objects to choose from. </div>]]></description>
