The great Treaty of Versailles, a document officially stating the end of the World War, signed on June 28, 1919 in Versailles right out of Paris, France. This is one of the most important and controversial documents to ever be written, this is mainly due to how they treated Germany in the said document. From the wise words of a British Economist “One of the most serious acts of political Unwisdom for which our statesmen have ever been responsible.” Most say the rules enforced in the treaty forcibly led to the only solution to for Germany to be pulled out of in words economic chaos was to rely on the National Socialists, more commonly known as the Nazi party. Almost single handedly started the slow burn of Adolf Hitler’s oncoming storm that soon ravaged the entire world.

The Unrestricted Submarine Warfare in World War One, one of the many new forms of battle shown in the war proved to be extra effective. This was initiated by Germany when they declared they would shoot down any ship that would sail through the coast of Britain even if it was a part of a neutral land. Even after killing 128 US citizens and Angering president Woodrow Willson, Emperor Kaiser Willhelm thought the U-boats were a vital part of Germany’s war strategy. But the fact that it was important to their strategy wasn’t enough for Germany and they still had to discontinue the U-boat plans out of fear of losing the war because of countries' threats on the matter. But nonetheless Germany switched up once again on January 31, 1917 they put the U-boats back into service for the military.

The Assasination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand is not quite as simple as some may think, it’s the story of an ignorant man who couldn’t do anything right. Starting with his marriage, it was to a barely royal related woman which made his Uncle incredibly angry. This swayed his Uncle Emperor Franz Josef to declare the children of this marriage were not eligible for the throne leaving Ferdinand as the sole heir to the crown. This was rightfully such a hard time for Ferdinand but he was still the General of the Austria-Hungary military meaning he had plenty of responsibilities to distract him from this turmoil. One of the first tasks that had to be done after all the drama was a series of Military exercises in Bosnia-Herzegovina. This was a little bit of a hot topic assignment for Austria-Hungary due to them actually having annexed Bosnia-Herzegovina just the year before leaving Serbia a little sour about it. But this fact was no problem for Franz Ferdind due to him being very anti-Serbia thinking they are all swine, yet a group of Serbian activists thought the same way about him thinking he was the pig. So when they realized they had a chance to get back at Franz and Austria-Hungary as a whole; however, the only way they thought they could make an impact was to Assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand. After two days of the military exercises and sightseeing Franz and his wife had planned to head home but before then they had to drive to city hall, they did this in an open topped car. This caused much anger for Franz due to the lackluster security they were treated with the entire trip which turned out to be right by him. Because following the beginning of the car ride began one of the worst assasination attempts of all time filled with mistakes and with a stroke of pure luck they managed to kill Franz Ferdinand by the end of the night. Finally setting off a bonfire of conflict in Austria-Hungary and Serbia which enveloped all of Europe in a surprisingly very short amount of time.
