1. My friends

I believe that my friends immensely influence me, both emotionally and ethically. Communicating with my peers at school arouses my joyful emotions, and sometimes it allows me to learn about others' opinions and perspectives. As my friends are all unique in their own way, they have different opinions and thoughts about a certain thing. During class, office hours, lunch, and even during activity period, we discuss about many different things and express our truthful opinions without hesitation. I believe that these conversations I make with my friends are valuable since I learn many things from that by learning how to respect others' opinions.

2. Song- Long Story Short

The song 'Long Story Short' by Taylor Swift has several lyrics that relate to me. There are some lyrics that cheers me up and make me feel better when I am in a negative mood. For example, the lyric 'I want to tell you not to get stuck in these petty things' emotionally touched me because I am a severe overthinker. This lyric and many more lyrics awakened me about my overthinkings. There are some lyrics related to ethics, and I learn several things by listening to her and reading the poetic lyrics. Another song, 'You're on your own kid' also influences me a lot by teaching me ethics through meaningful lyrics that relate to my feelings.

3. My Coach

My volleyball coach (outside of school) ethically influences me severely. Not only he is a great coach, but he allows me to learn teamwork and communication. While others belittled me when I did not perform well in a volleyball match, my coach, although he is very strict, first told me that I did well enough by showing my best effort. These words that my coach tell me influenced me emotionally and ethically, as I learned how to kindly talk to people and how to give consolation to them. His strict teachings also influence me since I learn about how hard it takes for people to become actual athletes which makes me respect athletes even more. I got to know how hard and long it takes for someone to achieve their goals.

4. Study Room

As Korean students study severely hard with enthusiasm, there are many study rooms around my neighborhood. I visited them multiple times when I was not able to fully focus at home, and studied there. I saw tons of students studying, without getting disturbed in outside sources. This environment made me think about the different lives that everyone is living on their own, and I thought that everyone is very special with their own characteristics. I learned many ethics while studying with different students and I wish to go to a study room again with my peers.

5. My dogs

I sometimes get in a negative mood when something does not go the way I wanted it to go. When I am in a bad mood, I wish to be isolated and get left alone. However, although I want to be alone, my dogs run up to me and wag their tails. This reminds me that I am a loved person by some individuals, including my friends, family, and dogs.
