She had a case of pneumonia that was obviously not being being treated because there wasn't any antibiotics in her system. When you have an untreated disease this can bring on septic shock. Anna also had a UTI. A UTI is an urinary tract infection which is also a huge thing that could bring on septic shock. One of Anna's kidneys were starting to show signs of necrosis, which is a Sepsis induced injury. Necrosis is when all the cells in n organ or tissue die because of injury, lack of blood, or disease.

The best way that Anna could have avoided and prevented septic shock was by just taking care of her body. If Anna would have drank more water to help her urine she could've avoided having an infection in the first place. Some things that she could have done to help with necrosis in the long run would be to drink alcohol as little as possible and to keep her body healthy and cholesterol level low. Anna could have also helped to prevent getting pneumonia by not smoking.

Pneumonia was relevant to Anna's death because it was an untreated infection which helps bring on septic shock. UTI is another huge infection that contributed to bringing on septic shock. Septic shock is basically brought on by infections that go untreated. And necrosis hugely contributes because this is actually cause by sepsis. So the failing of her kidney also had to do with this because of the lack of blood.

In the case that none of her long term preventions worked and she ended up getting a UTI she could have easily known that something was wrong and gone to the doctor to get herself looked at and got prescribed something to help her fight it. Something that could have helped with with her AKI necrosis was again to go to the doctor and get herself checked out and prescribed something, or maybe even a kidney transplant. Pneumonia has basically the same prevention as the others get something prescribed to her to help fight off what she was battling.
