I love doing volunteer work and have had the opportunity to help a lot of people in my life. This fall/winter I have signed up to volunteer at a food bank, and am planning on becoming a CASA Volunteer to help abused and neglected children. http://www.casaofparkercounty.com/

Curtis Elementary & VanMeter School- Banding Together Project

Students at Curtis Elementary in Weatherford, TX participated with schools all over the United States, including VanMeter School in Van Meter, Iowa, who created this project. You can find more information here: http://beanoblekid.org/banding-together/

Students created Rainbow Loom friendship bracelets that would then be sent to children in India and now Africa, along with cards & letters.

Students in Kids Take Action are making "hugs" and raising money for Syrian Refugees this year.

We have raised money and collected supplies for an orphanage in Haiti in the past. As part of the school library program, we raise awareness of the importance of literacy by participating in WRAD.
