It's well known that Olister Pembrick left a number of fearsome creatures out of his (nearly) exhaustive compendium. Can you find any of them around your neck of the Skreean woods? Draw or photograph them and tell us why we should (or should not) keep a safe distance.

Here we have a Sohmeobost (a creature that might be described as a flying turtle who eats flowers) A Flying Moosaphant Calf, A Leopard Dragon, and an Owl. The Flying Moosaphant is unable to fly until it gets its antlers and it is almost impossible to keep out of your garden once the Moosaphant finds it unless you are able to plant a good deal of celery. The fact that we have named it the “Flying“ Moosaphant indicates that there must be a non-flying variety and now we have to investigate further...for science. The Leopard Dragon prefers large caves because it lives and hunts in packs 😳 The Owl is deceptively cute and cuddly. You have been warned.

In the middle of the concrete and asphalt of my city is a small nature reserve, in the middle of that is a duck pond, and in the duck pond for one glorious week was a river otter. There is nothing to fear from Otter, except his close scrutiny which gazes into your soul. You can watch him blissfully, but you will be left with questions, perhaps unanswerable. Where did he come from? Where is he going? Has he been trekking across the freeway and the sidewalks by night to get here? What sort of quest is he on? And will he ever return?

Meet Zoey, my family’s somewhat defective dog who is commonly mistaken for a large rodent. One of her ears points straight up while the other flops anywhere but up. Her tail doesn’t wag back and forth, but in lopsided circles like an uncontrolled helicopter. Zoey has both an underbite AND overbite (she is in desperate need of braces) but she manages just fine, even smiling for pictures:)
Zoey likes to collect stray socks, gifting them to anyone who enters the house after a long day away. Her favorite pastime is gazing out of our windows in search of the neighborhood cat who prowls just out of reach. Zoey seems to believe that she is an intimidating guard dog, and is not afraid of anything. I love her to death.

This mighty moose was captured in it's natural habitat among the mountains of Colorado. This great beast ran out in front of me and my party while hiking. Maintaining the proper distance from this majestic creature is critical. If spooked, a moose can plow you over with ease.
