The ADA describes and defines "auxiliary aids and services" which encompasses AT devices/services (Texas Assistive Technology Network, 2004). This specific definition can be found in the image below.

We all use some sort of assistive technology in our daily lives, the key difference in this situation is to determine what helps (if any) the student needs so that they can achieve FAPE.
