In Australia, Indigenous people need our respect as they have lived in this country for much longer than any white settlers. It is important to value their opinions and build awareness around the racism many indigenous peoples still face today. People within the LGBTQIA+ community have faced much adversity because of who they love, how they look or who they are. These people do not choose their sexual orientation or gender identity therefore it should never lead to discrimination or abuse. Many religions are disrespected by other communities due to a perception formed by the few bad people within their communities. Respecting these groups provides a sense of belonging within the rest of society.
