In my opinion "Practice makes perfect" semi professionls, make there craft coewm with such ease. So when you go to practive that in all turns that into <s>deliberate practice</s>. Zero in on your weaknesses. Really take a look at the areas you lack in and imporve those areas. Until you have this third characteristic of Grit which consists of…….What…..??

Now I’m not 100% sure that this is allowed. I just don’t know who to pick, when thinking about showing grit throughout all obstacles. It makes me think about me. I can provide links to everything I’m about to talk about. If you would though bear with me I haven’t talked about any of this since it happened. So grit is explained as passion a perseverance for long term goals despite setbacks, failures so on and so fourth. (Pg2. Personal growth week 4 textbook)

I found myself incarcerated in 2019. From February 2019-May 2021 I was in 6 different facilities, forced onto a plane in shackles. Not because of anything I did. It’s what I wasn’t doing. Also who I was married too. Bring you to all of this to explain how I had grit in those moments. I had lawyers, inmate lawyers, cos, my husband even was against me. Trying to put his crimes on me. Me I didn’t know anything until I heard tapes, video visit recording etc. I had a lot of things that could have made me give up. Oh here’s some of that grit coming into play. I had hope because my life cannot be over, it just couldn’t have I was only 28 when I was arrested. Not only that I was innocent and I know who did what they were accusing me of. I didn’t say anything kept my mouth closed. That almost got me 87 years in the state of Indiana. All over my ex-husband, shooting someone with a gun that was registered to me. The guy, his “friend”, didn’t make it. I was my own interest. I was very interested in me getting my tail from up under that corrupt / inhumane system. I had to at that point care and love myself. Practice reading laws, talking to my lawyer. My purpose was justice and going home to my children. (My son will be 14 Monday the 29th, my oldest has made me a grandma of 2, married and will be 19 Oct 17th.) I mean due correct me if I’m wrong, however I feel like I had grit trying to be a case that was 100% against me but here I am learning about behaviors just trying to make my way to music. I’m gritty!

Growth & fixed Mindset:

Growth mindset you will ask yourself what can I learn from this? You will be more willing to learn new challenges. Set backs you will take in and use that to make your weaker areas stronger (Deliberate practice) Instead of how a fixed mindset just says they can’t do it. Fixed is not knowing it, having no interest to learn new challenges. Pretty much keeping yourself stagnant. That will stunt success & growth. Kelo an open mind take criticism as a chance to rebuild your growth spots and learn from it all. It’s something new to be learned everyday!
