If a student is visibly struggling and the teacher does not recognize that or the student feels like the teacher is not helping them. The student might feel discouraged in the class. Overall just an encouraging attitude would be good for the students.

Being clear in the objectives and goals for teaching and learning can allow students the proper mindset for learning. Having warmth and compassion is especially necessary to improve the relationship students have with education. And lastly, the teacher must have proper knowledge on the content and style of effective teaching.

I believe that one strategy that makes an effective teacher is learning how to keep the student engaged and on task at all times. Teachers do not have to be super strict, and these lessons can be fun yet informational. I have seen videos of teachers using toys and gadgets that the students love to use and adding that into their activities to keep the engagement, such as pop-its and fidgets. This will help the students remember the lesson and remember the fun they are having during the lesson as well, which helps them remember how to do the lesson and answer the problems easier.

I would be having a spanish classroom, meaning that I must understand that there will be language barriers stopping a more effective and productive ay of teaching. Knowing this, it would be important for me to teach in the dominant languages of the areas im teaching in, so for here it would be English and Spanish. There are also speech impediments that could have students struggle especially in a language course, I would always try to keep a patient mindset with everybody in the classroom in order to give everybody a fair chance to try succeeding in the classroom. It is also important to always ask if they feel comfortable sharing or speaking out loud from time to time.

Everyone is going to have a different attitude so if the students are not feeling it sometimes them what I would do would be change the classroom dynamic to a positive one. I want to have good students and that they enjoy the class.

Some expectations that I want for my students is for them to know that everyone is different and everyone learns at a different pace. There is no need to rush just because someone else is learning faster than the others. Another one is I would like for them to build their confidence since for music confidence is an important part of performing. A way I can show it is by giving compliments about the way they have improved, being direct with them that we are not competing, that we are like a team and we can improve together.

So, what I would do is ask the students about their cultures and throughout the year we will be learning about each different culture. Also, I could provide a variety of materials such as videos, pictures, hands-on activities, and readings with all the different cultures to make everyone feel welcome.
