I believe that once one teacher does something wrong, students and families don't trust other teachers 100% because of one incident. Families are suppose to trust educators with their children for 6-8 hours a day and millions of teachers have ruined that for some parents. The perception of teachers have changed because teachers weren't educated their selves on implicit bias, but I THINK it should be common sense.

Hypothetical Scenarios:

Disciplinary Actions: A teacher might be more likely to interpret a student's behavior as disruptive or challenging if they belong to a group stereotyped as "troublemakers". This could lead to disproportionate disciplinary actions, such as suspension or detention, for students from these groups.

Classroom Attention and Engagement: A teacher might unintentionally spend less time interacting with, providing individualized support to, or calling on students from underrepresented groups. This could manifest as less eye contact, shorter responses to their questions, or a reluctance to invite them to participate in discussions.

These scenarios highlight how implicit biases can lead to unfair or discriminatory practices in education, even when teachers have good intentions and are unaware of their own biases. This affects their decision-making by excluding certain children because of what they think that may NOT be true.
