Michael, an Irish spy that acts as a Nazi, lives in Berlin, Germany with his mom and dad. Their mission as spies is to look for clues to help the Allies win the war. Michael is undercover in the Hitler Youth and must complete missions and tests that go against his will, but he can't blow his cover. He has made friends with a British downed pilot named Simon who he found. He also made friends with Fritz who is also part of the Hitler Youth with Michael and they became good friends. However, Fritz has changed personalities all of a sudden and does not talk to Michael anymore because he has been promoted in Nazi ranks. This is bad for Michael because Michael found a blueprint of Projekt 1065, a German airship project. He found it in Fritz's dad's work room. He found out some of the information he needed before it all disappeared.My reaction to this makes me feel angry but happy at the same time. On page  288, Michael and Fritz are in a fight on top of a cable car 8,000 feet above the ground. Michael still has feelings for his friend Fritz and does not want to hurt him. However, Michael has to stand up for himself and fight Fritz knife to knife. However, from Fritz's point of view, he has hate in his heart for Michael. Fritz figured out that Michael was a spy and that he betrayed him. Also the SRD has changes Fritz into a cold-blooded killer. He does not act like a normal person but as a Nazi. Fritz will kill Michael in this fight on the cable car. He will die for Germany even if that means killing another person in cold blood. TT- "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas"  related a lot to this book. It was also about world war two.  Bruno was a German and Micheal is a Irish spy.

TW-  A lot of the book is based on the history of WW2. WW2 took place in 1938. This is a historical fiction novel.
