Jude has to flee with her mother when the war in her country gets too close to her home. She leaves her father, older brother, and best friend behind and moves in with her mother's brother's family in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

Jude worries a lot about her brother who is fighting in the war in Syria and she feels very lonely starting middle school in the U.S. and struggling to learn English. At first, Jude is shy but also angry about the way she is treated, especially when she experiences racist comments and mean behavior.  

I really liked the main character, Jude. She is brave and strong. She faces lots of challenges but she tries to be courageous by remembering her brother and the war back home.     I don’t think the title of the books is a good one because its not really about keepers, its more about the lost cities. I think the part about keepers shouldn’t be in there because they only come up a couple of times. Percy always gets kicked out now his schools, he needs to be in boarding school to be protected. He gets attacked by many monsters, for example his Pre-Algebras teacher and soon a mystical creature and many more, he has to live life on the edge to survive.  Soon he finds out he's a half blood, half human half god. His mom risks her life to save him, all of this is evidence he doesn’t understand his life or who he is. He knows what he has to do and is always going on crazy adventures with his friend.

    My favorite character is Annabeth Chase. She risks her life to save what matters most to her while also saving Olympus, humanity and her friends. She’s smart, strong, mysterious yet relatable. 


    There are 5 books in this series 100% would recommend.

That means that she cannot move her body fully, and cannot communicate. She learns to communicate with a board with words and phrases written on it. But, the board doesn’t fully help her say what she’s thinking. Since she’s disabled, everyone thinks she’s dumb and doesn’t know anything but Melody is actually very smart. She goes to school at Spaulding Street School, and is in the classroom H-5 with other disabled kids who can’t be in a regular classroom, and Melody knows everything that they learn. Later in the book, she explains more about her life with a disability. 


    I think Out of My Mind is a good title for this book because Melody actually is out of her mind because she can’t tell people what she’s actually thinking. All of her thoughts are trapped in her head and she can’t tell others what she wants to say. When he finally gets back to school, he starts to learn about who he was. Chase is shocked. He happened to be the ringleader of a bullying group containing him, and his two friends Aaron, and Bear. He also finds out that they bullied a kid all the way out of school, and got sentenced to community service by a judge. Chase is disgusted, but he starts to find new hobbies, with the people he used to bully. Aaron and Bear are horrified, Chase also finds joy in doing community service, and is especially interested in one old man. The question still remains though. Will Chase gain his new friends trust, even after he made school exile for them, or will his new friends leave him, and Chase must restart again? 

    One thing that makes me admire Chase is that he pushed himself to change. He was forced to change, not by anyone else but him. He changed out of his own disgust in who he was that he wants to separate two different eras. Who he was, and who he is. He also is not affected by his old bullying buddies trying to push him to be the same, he ignores them and also turns on them. He blocked out everything else and just focused on trying to separate the old Chase away from the new Chase.

    The book keeper of the lost cities reminds me of the book Harry Potter. Because in both first book's of  both series Sophie and Harry feel like they are not related or part of their families though Sophie’s family does not treat her cruel like Harrys family. Later in the books Sophie and Harry are told that they are not human. Harry and Sophie have to live in new worlds and go to new schools. Sophie and Harry are also both orphans but Sophie did get adopted from her new family in her new world. While new challenges come up Sara has to work together with her team to try to save the world! If you like action, realistic fiction and books about spies you should read City Spies by James Ponti. Also it is a series so if you like the first book you can keep reading!

               If I could spend one day with a character from City Spies I would spent it with Sydney. I think this because she is very kind and welcoming. I would want to be with someone like that not someone that would take a while to welcome me. Lastly, she is a spy which is pretty cool.

Bethany is the child on the beast’s wishlist, she is like me because she loves comics and pulling pranks. With witches and Conners fairy tale friends trying to occupy NY, things are hard, but with an evil Alex somewhere in NY, things get harder, but the worst thing accord… Alex feels upset for the people she hurt, and can’t control herself, because witches are controlling her. Important: The last book is best, but you need to start with the first book.

Later he gets to a camp called camp half-blood.  Every kid in the camp it’s parent is one of the 12 gods. The other is is just human. The director name is Chiron. He was a teacher at Percy’s old school, he also had been looking out for Percy. Soon he finds a girl named Annebeth. She is the best at all the games and training. At first Annabeth doesn’t trust Percy. But later on Percy finds out who his dad is…Poseidon the god of sea. His brothers Zeus and Hades after the Great War with the Titans they each swore to never have a child. Now Annabeth doesn’t even want to look at Percy. Not only that but someone stole Zeus Master lightening bolt. This takes all the blame to Percy Jackson. So Percy, Annabeth, and Grover are all on a mission to retrieve the Master Lightning Bolt to whoever stole it. 

    Percy and I can be the same. We can be both bold, We are a little fierce but we can be kind to other. Though in Keeper of the Lost Cities the girl named Sofie. She is kinda like Percy. They are both not human, they are both very powerful beings.     One thing I would change about the book would be if the book could tell more about Omar and Hassan’s life in America and if they find there mom and what he does next.

    My favorite character in this book is Ruby. She is an elephant in the local zoo, important enough to be on the cover. I like her because she is always optimistic, even when times are tough. When the tornado hit, all she wanted to do was save other people before herself. Even during rough days, she pushes through. She is always happy, and calls Bob “Uncle Bob!” And Ivan, “Uncle Ivan!” 😁. She loves her home at the zoo, with all the other elephants. I mean, who wouldn’t love a life of luxury with all of your friends? Ruby’s mother had died a few years back, but in the book, Ruby handled it well.

    Fredrick is my favorite character in the story because he keeps a secret the could get some one killed if the new. But he is also my least favorite character because at the last second he cracks and tells the secret. I hope you read the Train To Impossible Places.

On the other hand, the virus is scary, people in America are also starting to get infected and cruel things are happening to other races. The main character and middle child, Knox, is a kid with ADHD and not the best relationship with his older brother Bowen. Bowen and Knox are constantly fighting and criticizing each other. While Lea is too young to know what is exactly going on. In the book New From Here by Kelly Yang, the kids learn to keep their family together and understand what was going on. 
    I think my favorite character is Bowen, because in a way I feel like him.  In the book, we learn Bowen is constantly impatient and mad because he can’t control it, but really he’s sensitive and hard on himself. It is the main characters 12 and a half birthday, she has a life where she get’s bullied, doesn’t have many friends and does not get really good grades. She finds out she was only invited to a rich persons birthday party for a very bad reason. She goes to the bathroom crying making a wish on a special filter that she could change her life and be 22 and famous like her favorite tiktoker.  She then gets transported to the future and the wish came true. She realized how fake she really was. She became best friends with her toxic bully, tried to put her idol down and realized she never took time for family and everyone was scared of her. She has to fix her future, she tries to apologize to her family, friends and coworkers in attempt to fix her career. She never went to college and regrets the famous life considering her only friend made her toxic and she lost the people most important to her. She works with her sister to try to bring her back to her old life to fix her future and make sure she gets a childhood. For example, Katniss and Peeta are from district 12. Katniss’s family is struggling to get by, so the hunger games is a great option for them to get food because if you put your name in more times, then you get extra bread, or Tesserae. Katniss has a 12 year old sister named Prim, and her mother Carine.     My favorite character in Dress Coded is Molly because she is a good leader, she is brave and she fights for justice. She is a good leader because she creates a podcast so girls know they are not alone. She is also very organized and if you are a good leader then it is crucial to be organized. Molly is brave because she is not afraid to stand up to people and protest. Finally, Molly fights for justice. This is important because if no one stands up for justice then life will be unfair for everyone. This is why I think Molly is an incredible character.

    My favorite characters are easily Fred and George. They’re the two mischief makers in this book, the ones who get into trouble. From the beginning where they ruin the Dursley's house, they immediately start to be great characters.     The book “How to be the Best Third Wheel” by Loridee De Villa is a book about a high school senior ( Lara ) who comes back to school after summer from the Philippines to find that all her friends are in relationships. While her friends are focused on their relationships Lara and her childhood enemy James are both third wheels. Lara wants nothing to do with James. Until James’ mother pleads for Lara to tutor him. The two start to get closer and maybe even more then friends! What happens next? You have to find out!

    Answer: The book titles is good and bad in both ways. The book title is good but Lara being a third wheel is not the whole plot. But then again it does explain the firsts part of the story and being a “third wheel” did bring Lara and James together.
