"Muliebrity", word used in the title but not in the text, can be defined as the qualities of womanhood
The writer makes use of synecdoche naming "her hands, and her waist" to describe the feminine features that normally represent a woman
Also, when the poet contrasts the smell of cow-dung with wet canna lilies, it seems to be associated with womanhood. This beautiful flowers grow even in the hardest conditions, as this girl does it too.
There is an image of resilience as this pure, joyful girl fulfill her ardous, non-feminine task.

At the beggining, there is quite a nostalgic tone, by remembering the smells the speaker is taken all the way back to that moment. This suggests that it really misses it.
We, western people, can not understand why a woman would ever miss this job, so the reader starts feeling sorry for the girl, we feel pity for her.
Still, heading to the end, the reader is able to understand that the speaker does not want us to think about her as a "symbol of opression"
Her cheekbones shined of power and greatness. She was proud of herself, her sweat meant joy and effort

In this poem, the speaker is the author who writes with a particular free-verse style. This makes the poem flow like an unending thought, a "stream of memories".
The speaker is part of the poem
The girl: main persona

On the one hand, the writer sets the poem in India, in a small town called Maninagar
According to the Indian culture, woman who belong to a low social class, must work with cow-dung
As they believe in Karma, Indian girls complete this terrible job
On the other hand, it can be said, the poet is with a "camera" and she is zooming out the picture, what she remembers
First: the girl, then: the road and house, the temple and city. Finally: the girl again always as the centre image
Lastly, the author makes focus on appearence throughout the whole poem, describes the place, the cow-dung and the girl´s appearence
