Author: Bernardita Romero Summary: This a sweet book about an expecting mother who already has one young son. The son wants to know what the mother has inside her tummy and he is imagining what it could be because he sees it grow and move. He imagines it could be a watermelon, a rabbit, a penguin, or a whale. The book is written so that it rhymes which makes it very fun to read. At the end of the story the boy knows it was his new baby sister, and there is an illustration of brother and sister playing together. </title>

<title>Title: InseparablesAuthor: Mar PavonIllustrator: Maria Giron Summary: A beautiful book of a child with a disability narrated by a shoe. The story is about two shoes who were “made for one another.” The little girl who owns them loves them. She does everything in them. She jumps, runs, dances and twirls. One day she climbs a tree and one of the shoes straps breaks. The mother throws the shoes away. People come to rummage in the trash to find good items that can be recycled. They take one blue shoe and the other shoe gets left alone. The one shoe that is taken cannot understand how they can use it without it’s pair. The shoe is washed and wrapped in a gift box and given to a little girl who lost a leg and only has one leg. She loves the shoe and sock that she was given, now they are a pair. They love her. </title>

<title>Author:Henri MeunierIllustrator:Nathalie Choux Summary: The story is a bit of a social political statement. It is about a colored woman who is approached by a policeman, and asked for her documents to show that she can be in el Furgon. Before the police leaves he spots a green cat and a weird looking bird. Then the different colored cat and the different looking bird are also taken because they do not seem to “look” as if they belong there, and of course they do not have documents. Before they are taken, a guy who is observing what is going on tells the police man that he should take the sun, too because this morning it was not here it was in Asia. </title>
