Besides plenary sessions, delegates were invited to sign up for three on-site visits of their choice during registration. The visits have been made possible through the welcoming endeavors of many specialists and institutions.

29 May

Trippenhuis = extra!

Additionaly to the three on-site visits, we offer you a fourth visit. On the first conference day, after registration at the conference desk, there will be small group tours of the Trippenhuis. Delegates received an e-mail to pre-register.

30 and 31 May

Morning trips

On Thursday and Friday morning, visits to venues in Amsterdam and the surrounding area are on the agenda.

1 June

Full day trips

We will spread our wings further towards other Dutch cities on Saturday.

Information on your on-site visits

Please read the information provided prior to the on-site visit. Thus ensuring you are on time at the right place. :)

Your contact person

All field trips are enthusiastically supported by students who specialise in AFR and the preservation and restoration of Historic Interior spaces. They will be your contact should anything unexpected happen, which of course we do not hope for. Please let them know if you are unable to attend so that we do not have to wait unnecessarily. The student's cell phone number can be found by clicking in the conference program, on the link of the specific on-site visit.

In some cases you can use a bike or public transport (OV) to travel to your on-site visit and back to the Trippenhuis, if you do not want to walk.

If the on-site visits are a bustour or by train then the conference provides the fee.

How to use your cell phone, debit- or credit card

It possible to check in and out with your debit card, credit card or cell phone on Dutch public transport. We urge you to please check out OV-Pay website beforehand for more information on how it works, specifically which banks, etc.
