I think that students either violate commandment 8 or commandment 5. The reason for commandment 8 is for the fact that students are likely to not cite where they get their sources from every time they use information in a paper or presentation and end up plagiarizing. The reason for commandment 5 is due to the fact that the internet is known to share and spread false information which can then be shared by students as they do not do any further research on the topic and only take what they read first as fact.

Regarding the reduction of violating commandments 8 and 5 a way to reduce this unethical behavior is to stress the importance within schools of citing information even if no quotes were taken but used as reference and give penalties when no sources are given as well as stressing the importance of research and knowledge of topics before spreading false information. For the other commandments with unethical behavior such as hacking, pirating, or cyberbullying penalties should be given by the platform to those that cyberbully or to the platform that allows pirating or to the individual that hacks.
