ALL ABOUT MYSELF

Hi! I am Mark Winker G. Campugan and I am 19 years old. I was born in Poblacion 1, Carcar City, Cebu on November 12, 2004. I am the second eldest sibling in the family. And also, I am not living with my biological family. Even though I was born in Carcar City, I grew up in Balamban- a first class municipality in the northwest of Cebu City.

During my primary education, I studied at Nangka Elementary School (2009-2016). For my secondary education, I studied at Nangka National High School (2016-2022). And in my tertiary education, I studied at Cebu Technological University - Tuburan Campus (2022-2024).

Maybe you are wondering why I only spent 2 years in college, the truth is I am currently still studying at the said University. I am taking up Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, a 4-year degree program. Electrical Engineering was really not my dream degree program, I am only influenced by my father and other relatives to take this degree program and besides, this is the degree program that my father could afford. Ever since I was in highschool, my ultimate dream was Marine Engineering but when I told my family about this, they told me that they can't afford to send me to a private university. Even though there is a state university (Cebu Technological University - Carmen Campus) that offers Marine Engineering for free, my father still did not allow me to take it because of the fact that it was very far from home and also because my family is not used that I am far from them. But I am not having any regrets that I pursued Electrical Engineering because I know for the fact that my father would be very happy once I finish this degree program and also because this is his dream for me.

FUN FACTS ABOUT MYSELF

My favorite viands are lechon manok, lechon baboy, lumpiang shanghai, squid, ngohiong, and many more.

I also love hamburgers, burger steak, shawarma, pizza, fresh lumpia, and many more.

My first job was pulling white hairs from elderlies in the neighborhood (HAHAHA).

I am afraid of frogs.
There was a time that I embarrased myself by responding to someone even though I was not the one that he/she called (HAHAHA).
One of my favorite movie is Every Child is Special by Taare Zameen Par.
I have pet fishes- siamese fighting fish and glofish tetras.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

For the past few months, going to the beach to unwind has become my hobby- our hobby. Whenever I am stressed out because of schoolworks, I would most likely go to the beach to unwind together with the woman of my dreams- Sophia. Going to the beach together with Sophia has became a habbit. We'd go there and spend hours watching the beauty of the sun setting down and taking pictures of it. We also love doing astrophotography, taking pictures of the beauty of the night sky- with its beautiful moon and stars. I also love playing online games such as Call of Duty: Mobile and Mobile Legends. And during weekends, I spend hours watching over my pets(fish) including cleaning their tanks.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND CHALLLENGES

Growing up was never been easy and I think you would agree with me on that. One of the challenges that I have encountered growing up is financial problems and I know that I am not alone with this kind of problem. There's a lot of problems to mention but financial problems is the most relatable one because we need money in every single thing that we need to do. These challenges shaped me into what I am today and made me into a better one. And taught me how to be a strong person not just physically but also mentally.

When it comes to accomplishments, I'd say finishing the school year with honors is already a great achievement a student can get and give to his/her family. An accomplishment that I would like to tell you is that during my elementary years, I ended every school year receiving a medal or a ribbon. And on my graduation day during highschool, I graduated with honors and I received a medal because of it. Seeing my father smile and showing how proud he was on my achievement makes my heart flutter. I can say that receiving an award every after a school year is one of my proudest accomplishments.

Life is full of unexpected events- we don't even know how long are we going to live. We only live once and life is short that's why we should live our life to the fullest so that we would never have regrets for not doing everything we wanted to do in life.

BIGGEST INFLUENCES AND INSPIRATIONS

One of my biggest influence and inspiration in life is my family as they helped me shape myself into what I am today. They taught me to face and overcome every challenges that have passed in my life. I am inspired by my father's characteristics especially the mannerism of putting others first before yourself. It was also my father who influenced me to pursue Electrical Engineering as he can't afford to send me in school taking up my dream degree program which is the Marine Engineering. But despite the fact that I was not able to pursue my dream degree, I am still happy with what my father suggests- which is Electrical Engineering. It was my family who inspires me to continue living my life. Regardless of all the problems that came in my life, I am now confident that I can conquer it with the help and guidance of my family and to the woman of my dreams- Sophia. Whenever I am far from my family, it is Sophia who bring light in my dark times. It is her who can immediately put a smile on my face whenever I am sad. It's like when I am with her, I am at peace. (Siya ang aking aking pahinga sa nakakapagod na mundo). She was as gentle as rose, as delicate as a daisy, as warm as a sunflower, and more beautiful than any flower. Having her was and will always be the best thing that's ever happened to me.

FUTURE GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS

Ever since I was a kid, being successful in the future is my number one goal. As someone who is a family-oriented type of person, my family has always been included in my dreams and goals in life- as they were one of my top priotities. I aspire to spoil them in the near future with the things that they always wanted to have and try but can't have it. It has always been on my mind to become financially independent in the next few years, probably in the next 3-5 years of my life. As I continue with my studies, my goal right now is to survive and finish this degree program and make those people around me- including myself, proud of me.
