I think the list brings up some important issues, but also overlooks many of the positive effects of social media. A guy in London succeeded in making a restaurant that never existed first in Trip Advisor's London restaurants. It makes one think about the deceptive nature of trusted websites such as Trip Advisor. Fake reviews are not uncommon, and one wonders if the information that is supposed to be shared and created among the users is genuine. It also makes me think about the idea of "trendy" and how malleable that concept is. People are ready to accept anything as valuable as long as it's being talked about. It found no significant effect on the face-to-face interactions. However, an interesting finding of the study is that those who used social media and lacked face-to-face interactions during that week felt more lonely. This makes a lot of sense, given that on social media we are constantly bombarded with images of  people and their social circles.
