Juror #7 is a sports fanatic and businessman, eager to leave the courtroom to watch a baseball game. He frequently tells jokes, and doesnt seem to take the case very seriously.

Juror #4 is a very rational character. He stays quiet for the most part and does not lash out in anger. He is a stockbroker, and is very formal/classy. Because of this, he tends to stick to facts, rather than feelings while analyzing this case. Overall, he is calm throughout Act 1, he takes this case very seriously, and is the most rational member of the jury.

"The boy's entire story is flimsy. He claimed he was at the “I don’t see any need for arguing like this. I think we ought to behave like gentlemen.”

“Let’s stick to the facts.”

“Facts may be colored by the personalities of the people who present them.”

Juror #1
The Foreman monitors all the other jurors and makes sure that no situations gets too out of hand. He also votes because as well as looking over all the jurors he is one himself.
He votes guilty in the first vote, and he hasn't changed yet.

Juror 10:

Juror 10 is a skeptic of Juror 8 and is in favor of 3s position. He is super bigoted and he has a very staunch opinion against slum kids and is openly racist. He makes very aggressive comments and contributes by just being an overall Angry man, not as much for objective evidence but for prejudiced opinions based on racism and conservative ideals. He frequently gets loud, abrasive, and angry. He somewhat acts as a symbol of injustice.

Juror #2 is very shy and gets very influenced by other people's views and ideas.

Juror #3:

Juror #3 is very aggressive, loud and biased.
He feels strongly about his opinion that the kid should be sent to death
He votes guilty and does not change his vote throughout the act.
He already has issues with his own son. When his son was little he got hit and ran away, so after that day the dad swore to try to toughen up his kid so he can stand up for himself. This backfired though because his son got more and more distant from him, until he eventually moved away.

- “That’s a damn stupid bunch of talk!”

Juror #5:

Juror #5 is pretty quiet for most of Act 1. He stays to himself, only ever speaking when he feels it is truly necessary. He comes from a poor neighborhood, similar to where the boy on trial lives. Because of this, he is sensitive when talking about his background, and also empathetic when discussing the boy's living conditions. Overall, he is quiet, fair, and logical

I’ve lived in a slum all my life … There is something personal!”

“I used to play in a back yard that was filled with garbage. Maybe it still smells on me.”

“You’re talking about people who live in slums like they’re trash. I’ve lived there all my life.”

Juror #5 originally votes guilty, but in the end switches his vote to not guilty.

Juror #6:

Juror #6 is very quiet for the whole act. He rarely talked, but when he did, he was always honest and to the point. He understands that he isn't the smartest or most logical in the room, as he works as a painter. However, he still tries to be fair, honest, and patient. Overall, Juror #6 doesn't play a major role in Act 1, but he still thinks for himself and is honest throughout the case.

"I think maybe we should try another vote. Mr. Foreman?"

“I’m not used to supposing. I’m just a working man. My boss does the supposing.”

Juror #6 votes guilty throughout the entire course of act 1.

Juror #8:

Juror #8 is very sympathetic towards the kid being put to death, he is rational, and refuses to gloss over any piece of evidence that may cause doubt amongst jury members.
"They're only people, people make mistakes."
"Could they be wrong?"
"Thats right. I broke the law".

Juror #9:

Juror #9 is a wise old man, who is doubtful, but still compassionate towards one of the witnesses who he might suspect to be lying about what he heard and saw.
"He didn't change his vote. I did."
"He wouldn't really lie."
"I think I know him better than anyone here."

Juror #11:

He is an immigrant
He appreciates the value of the courts and the American legal system, he is very accustomed to the democratic process and loves.
Very calm and thoughtful, staying objective and restating facts. He acts as a beacon of process and equal say in a bigoted court case with sides having varying opinions.
- ("If you want to vote not guilty, do it because you are convinced he is not guilty, not because you've had enough")
  - Shows his will to stick to facts and just be open to the case in an objective manner.

Juror #12:

Very indecisive
Pretty reserved as a character, makes informed points but cannot make a definitive decision, sways back and forth and loses his integrity as a juror for both sides of the jury.
A good word to describe him is wishywashy, not a put together, sophisticated kind of guy, he's an advertiser, working mainly with ads and doesn't really advance his role in the narrative in any way.
Sometimes distracted and a bit of a snob.
"It's one of the products I work on," and his initial desire to simply finish the trial quickly, saying, "I'm in advertising...I never would have known if she hadn't told me. Would you?"
