I think computer games increased the children’s awareness of the practical value of the formal teaching they received in the classroom. In addition they can act as a highly efficient engine in the teaching because the games add an element of competition and challenge .
I use a lot computer games during my lessons as Kahoot , quiziz , Galim , Ofek etc My students love these lessons.
For example I use Kahoot in several ways. I can easily create a quiz with questions from their lesson. Then my students can quickly check their answers.

When I was little I used to play a lot computer games which required English language skills .

It was the computer games that mattered to me because here English was a means of coping rather than an end in itself as it is at school. When I came across new words in the games, I simply couldn’t progress if I didn’t understand what was being said.

I believe that using computer games is an excellent way to increase motivation. Most pupils love playing games in general and computer games in particular. In addition to the games the digital course book offers, I love using Kahoot and I do so on a regular basis. I encourage pupils to create their own games as well. I also teacher them how to create games using Power Point. I am familiar with Quizlet but I am not a fan. Computer games help pupils develop social skills (like team work) as well as linguistic ones. These are requirements of the 21st century both for teachers and learners.

Sometimes I bring computers to the classroom and I let the pupils choose a site from a list on the board, they play and practice vocabulary in a fun way. I've been using games for a long time, I believe that pupils can remember the vocabulary and a sentence structure when they have a joyful experience- When they play they have fun and I'm sure it helps then in the learning process.

It could be used to introduce the topic, learn new vocabulary or more like to review the vocabulary. Using computer games in the classroom does sometimes make discipline harder for me so I like to set strict guidelines of how the students have to behave. I like Brainpop in particular as I think it is very useful for my students to watch the videos and then answer the questions. I sometimes decide to take my class to the computer room and have them each play computer games on their level. For this I like to use Galim as I find they have numerous games on different levels, going from learning to read to comprehension activities.

I generally like using computer games in the classroom. Students enjoy either kahoot, quizlet, or quizlet live. These engage everyone simultaneously. I've given assignment or test reviews on google quiz (not exactly a game but they don't seem to notice). One challenge that I do find, especially if we work on games individually in a differentiated manner is that many students are not trustworthy. There are always a select few that do not work almost at all on the given assignment unless I am there with them (this is not a function of too challenging an assignment but rather lack of maturity and addiction to particular games). I understand that in many of these situations it cannot be 100% of the students 100% of the time however it is usually repeat offenders who do not complete the given task.

I love using computer games in the classroom! I think that anything outside the book is always great and the students love it. There are some great games and activities that can be done through the computer. My overall experience with using computer games has been good but I did find it to be a little more problematic and challenging when the students were given the opportunity to play a game on their own computers. For the most part, students would play and participate nicely but there were always a few that had computer issues, internet problems, or those who just did other things when the teacher was not looking. Despite those things I still think that it is a great tool and is a must in every classroom.

I don't use them just for fun. I use them in order to motivate my students in classroom learning. I use them in certain situations, such as classroom demonstrations, reviews or for special need students. My students apply content knowledge and practice skills. In the past, computer games captured my students' attention as they explored content. The games also improved their motivation and efficiency. I noticed that my students developed more positive attitudes toward English learning. However, in other cases, computer games led to poor classroom management. They caused distractions. Some of my students linked to Facebook or played a different game. Others just tried to beat the game instead of learning the material. I usually use assessments, like Kahoot, Quizlet or Quizizz. In addition, my students sometimes create their own games. In sum, I like using computer games in the classroom as long as I control them.

I really like using games durin the lessons to review vocabulary, grammar or for stressing a new sound. I am not sure that there are enough games that can be used in EFL classes. Many of the things i find are too difficult to use. However. this is very motivation and is agreat way to do somthing different. Kahoot and quizlet are great and I would like to know some other options.

I think computer games contribute a lot to the learning process. This allows practice and repetition of the material in a fun way. The students love it very much and it gives them motivation. From time to time I use computer games in the classroom. I usually use Power Point games that I download from the islcollective.com website (I don't always have internet access at a lesson, so I use games that are offline). I also have an hour in the computer room. Plus I have an hour in my computer room. Students work on assignments and they enjoy it very much.

I usually use Kahoot, Quizlet or Quizizz to practice vicabulary or grammar. I think we need to use technology in the classroom since ignoring the fact that the students are busy with their phones most of the day, won't help us get their cooporation .

I find computer games very useful and enriching. It makes most of the pupils take part. It makes pupils to dare and try use English, even if they sometimes feel they "dont know anything",. As fr my experiences using computer games, I also think that it can't be the only way to teach a subject. It can be as anothe tool, but still wont give up on the "old way" of teaching something new. Also in summarizing a subject, I believe it is important to combain few tool and nt only the cmputer games. Kids love cmputers, they love games, they will love English too :)

-I feel very comfortable using computer games in the classroom. Actually, I would say it is a must. I like to give the students time to practice the vocabulary through Quizlet, sometimes Kahoot, and many others. I also like to, in my case using Click 1 for example, use the digital version of the book and play the games it offers.
-My experiences are very good, I recommend it and like to do it myself. I think that using computer games engages the pupils and allows them to practice the content in a different way. However, sometimes it is not so easy to play with 30 students!, so using computer games should be planned before according to the lesson and the kids.

I feel that using computer games is a fun way of practicing vocabulary in an interactive way. In addition, in most of the cases the student gets instant feedback/score , which makes the student aware whether they have to practice more an get more specific of what exactly they lack.
I agree with Sheina Segal who claims that computers nowadays are a part of the pupils' lives so practicing vocabulary this way makes them feel more comfortable I assume.
