Fitzgerald included "Three o'Clock in the Morning" within the novel as a hidden message. Also, how the man would spend forever with his partner if he could. This song creates a sense of loneliness and lost. Gatsby is holding on to hope while everyone surrounding him knows he will never get what he wants the most. Which leaves the reader feeling sorry along with the characters in the novel.

Music plays a significant role within "The Great Gatsby". Music is used to portray certain messages and moods throughout the book. The music within the book was popular music of the time period. "The Great Gatsby" was written in the 1920's, during the Jazz Age. During the Jazz Age music was changing and influenced how those would behave. The music within the novel gives an inside view of characters thoughts. The songs play an important role in tying characters thoughts and emotions together without revealing much.

"Aint We Got Fun" creates a mood of carelessness. In the moment Gatsby and Daisy are falling for each other once again, and all the care about is their moment together. The song shows irony because Daisy rejected him originally because of his lack of money. The song is about a poor couple who do not have much but no matter what their fun together will never stop.

"The Love Nest" was played during the same event as "Aint Got No Fun". When Nick is looking for Gatsby he does not expect him to be as vibrant as he was being. The song shows the mood of happiness. Gatsby's feeling has never left him and when he finally got to see Daisy again his emotions took ahold once again. The song talks about two lovers in a cozy home together, which is very similar to the situation Gatsby and Daisy were in when the song was playing.

By: Beyonce
Genre:Pop
This song is comparable to "The Love Nest" because both are about a special love. Crazy in love is talking about how although many people thinks she's crazy for loving this person she cant stop. Compared to The Love Nest where is talks about and undying love between two in a home. If the Great Gatsby was written today this song would match well in the background because of the love Daisy and Gatsby share along with Nick believing Gatsby's advances will fail.

By: The Weeknd
Genre:Rap
"Call Out My Name" Is a sad rap song about the love a man has for a woman that does not want him. No matter how hard he tries the girl has moved on and is not willing to come back, so the man sits back and waits for her to come back. This song is comparable to "Three O'Clock in the Morning" because the man wants a forever kind of love. In both the men in these songs will do anything to be with the girl they want forever. This song would fit with in the book because the mood is somber. Gatsby is waiting for Daisy to come but she never does.

He doesn't have much money which can be compared to "Ain't We Got Fun" who also do not have money. In both songs they may not have much to give but they both can have a good time and enjoy the moment. This song is nearly the same in message and words. This would match well in the novel because this song is about careless love which is what Daisy and Gatsby are experiencing when the music is playing.
