         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>The results yielded that the solution with the highest carbon dioxide concentration produced the fastest rate of photosynthesis due to higher availability of carbon dioxide.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The results of this experiment support the hypothesis that under appropriate photosynthetic conditions if the amount of carbon dioxide is raised, the rate of photosynthesis will increase. Sources of error could be miscalculation, counting leaf chads improperly or not correctly measuring baking soda.&nbsp;This experiment could be repeated with different types of leaves to see if it holds true.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;1. Cut out 40 leaf chads from same leaf.&nbsp;<br>2. Mix 4 total different solutions containing 300 milliliters of&nbsp; distilled water&nbsp; and differing percent composition of baking soda or carbon dioxide source. Each should be 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% respectively. 2% will act as control.&nbsp; Add 2-3 drops of detergent to each solution.&nbsp;<br>3. Place 10 leaf chads in syringe and draw 5 cc of each solution into syringe. Push excess air out and create a vaccuum&nbsp; to remove excess carbon dioxide.<br>4. Place the ten leaf chads from matching syringe concentration to the large container with solution.&nbsp;<br>5. Put all solutions with leaf chads under light and calculate the time it takes for half of the leaf chads to rise.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</div>]]></description>
