      <title>CTN, a 66-year-old woman has been found to have persistently elevated Blood pressure in the clinic since last week, her lowest reading being 155/98 mm Hg. Hg. Her total cholesterol is 6.2 mmol/L. Her HDL 0.8 mmol/L.  She has an 8-year history of type 2 diabetes mellitus and is taking gliclazide 80mg twice daily. She is a smoker (8/day). Her renal function is normal for her age, but analysis of a recent urine sample showed microalbuminuria. She has no other known medical condition.
