But later on, he met another women name Zelda, she was wild, outgoing, and that caught his attention. He proposed to her and she accepted, but she broke off the engagement because he didn't have enough for her to live her life. Both of these women are influences of Daisy in his novel. Some parts that ended up in his novel are NYC and Long Island, they became the main setting in his novel..
