1) This study was conducted in two different elementary schools, so the students at one school could be more experienced with Project-Based Learning methods.
2) Different teachers at each of the schools could be more practiced in, or find the Project-Based Learning methods better suit their style than other teachers.
3) A more extensive study involving a longer period of time and more students would give the researchers more data to make more informed conclusions.

I think that the use of Project-Based Learning methods should be expanded into more classrooms and more subjects. This study puts a small project in the hands of middle schoolers, but if Project-Based Learning methods could be expanded into larger semester long projects, I believe students would learn more about problem solving, and the way the world works. Expanding this from middle schoolers to high schoolers could give students more opportunities to learn about what interests them in the real world. Project-Based Learning has wide implications, that could lead to high schoolers better knowing what they want to become after graduation; as well as better prepared college students.
