Major General George Gordon Meade moved his army to the north so Lee led his army around Gettysburg. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On July 3, 12,000 Confederates attacked against the center of the Union line using infantry but the Union attacked back with rifles and artillery fire. Lee and his troops went back to Virginia. 51,000 soldiers were hurt in this 3 day battle. 4 months later, President Lincoln honored the soldiers by creating a Gettyburg's Soldiers National Cemetery and redefined the purpose of war in his Gettysburg Address.</div>]]></description>
