-Confederates beat the Yankees on July 1st. 
-On the 2nd day of battle, Lee attacked both sides of the Union's army.
-On July 3rd, Lee and his troops headed for Virginia because the Union killed most of their troops when they went to attack them. 
- President Lincoln dedicated a National Cemetery and a Gettysburg Address to the soldiers who died in the war.
