Interest rates- if interest rates rise , become more attractive to deposit money in austrlia so demand for dollar will rise 

speculation- if spectators believe dollar will rise in the futrue they will demand more to make profit. causing increase in exchange rate. 

change in competitiveness- goods become more competitive, causing exchgange rate in increase as demand for the goods increase.
