Toni wants to reach out to the parents to show them that the learner attributes are a valid approach to learning and not just “soft skills”.  To facilitate this, I would suggest a video presentation focusing on testimonials from the kids themselves.  Firstly, kids these days are super comfortable with being in front of the camera, so I don’t think it would be too hard to get them to participate.  Secondly, every parent loves to watch their kid “perform”!  I think the video would have to be filmed over a span of time, so that you could incorporate not only the kids discussing the learner profiles and how they help with learning but also clips of the kids in action, working on projects, collaborating with their peers, organizing/participating in activities, etc. Another option might be to include interviews with parents whose kids have already been through the program, talking about the positive effects, and/or former students who have continued using the attributes throughout their school career.  I think parents would feel more confident about the concept if they saw the long term benefits. Something like this could also be put on the school website, which might entice new enrollment for the IB program.
