PYCP was formed in 1997 when Pilton Youth Programme (PYP), an intensive support service for people aged 12-18 who were at "risk", merged with Pilton Adventure Play Association (PAPA), a service for children under 12. This new organisation, registered as a Scottish Charity, was named Pilton Youth and Children’s Project.

They support over 200 children aged 0-11yrs every week – many of whom are very vulnerable, and facing a range of complicated issues.
    PYCP helps by giving a safe, supportive environment to talk through worries, develop new skills, and above all have fun!
