How to Complete This Activity

1. Think of a fictional or historical character you’ve learned about

2. Choose an adjective that describes this character

3. Create a post with:

   • Character name in the subject field

   • Adjective and evidence in the body (write the adjective and a short sentence explaining why it fits the character)

Introduction:

• Watch a short video already sent the link (5-7 minutes) to hook or anticipatory set to get students engaged in the content, that introduces the concept of contrasting personality traits.

Problem-Based Situations:

• Problem-based approach present two sentences describing the same thing, but with different adjectives, and ask the students in groups (2 or 3) it depends of the class size. They will discuss how the meaning of the sentence changes with the change of adjective.

Contextualization

• The students, still in groups, should each be given a set of cards. They should discuss and agree on one adjective for each card based on the appearance or characteristics of whatever is shown in the picture.

• (It allows the students to experience using the theoretical concepts in real-life situations.)

For example:
