What Is The Problem?

1. Even though Singapore ranked as the world’s most food-secure nation 4.1% of Singaporeans were reported to have faced moderate to severe food insecurity between 2016 to 2018 meaning that not everyone in Singapore has the luxury to afford food.

2. Not a lot of people are donating the correct food items (which causes problems in terms of how long the food will last and insect infestation as shown in the video etc)

3. Due to poor diets, people will be less productive which may lead to chronic illnesses and barriers to succeed.

What Do I Know So Far?

4. Not all food donated were suitable since the elders are unsure as to how to cook them making it a waste (as they would throw it away) or sometimes it could be expired food

5.People often go to food donations as they lack the money to purchase food due to certain circumstances such as old = no one wants to hire

What Parts Should I Focus On?

6. Focus on the kind of food donated instead of amount (since its quality over quantity depends on whether they know how to cook or not)

7.The reason as to why people come forward to food donations so as to look for alternatives that may be better and long lasting (the problems sometimes can be solved using other methods etc talking to family for more funds through counselling)
