Diwali- this is a festival indians celebrates once a year. This festival is known as the festival of lights. Also considered as new years in india.

Bharatnaytaym- This is an traditional indian dance that is practiced all over india.

 Everything is received with the right hand- In india receiving anything from a person is to be taken by the right hand it is shown as a sign of respect in front of others.

Sari- This is a famous clothing that is worn by all the women in india.

 We are really generous to guest especially when a stranger or someone we know enters the house we treat them to comfort, beverages, food and many more. We like making our guest feel good at our house.

Do not eat beef- Cows are highly worshipped in India, so because of this eating them is a sin and breaking of a law.

We are touch elders feet when greeting them- touching elders feet is known as giving respect to them. And in return they give you their blessing to be successful in life.

 Do not eat meat on certain days-In the Indian culture; there are many days where Gods are worshipped, so meat is not allowed to be eaten on those days. it would be shown as a sign of disrespect towards your parents and whole community.

Breaking coconuts when entering a new house- it is said that breaking a coconut while entering a new house is removing all evil criticisms said to you and entering a new beginning.

When babies are born the hair of the child is to be fully shaved.- it is said when a baby is born the hair on the child is not good and it is a sin. So the baby has to cut the hair to remove all the sins. Then after new hair is grown for a new life.

Respect is a high value in the Indians society. I was taught to respect everyone that was elder than me. We respect our parents until the end, we treat them with care and comfort.

Very money minded- Indians are very conservative about money. They will try to save as much money as possible. 

Business orientated- Many Indians tend to have more interest in business then any other activities.

Foods filled with spice- if you don’t eat spicy food, you’re not Indian. Indians love to consume any food that contains spice.

Show up late to events-Indians are not punctual. Time management is really bad. Tell them come 7:00 for an event. They will show up 8:00.
