1.	Do you think the parents of Trinity School, upon reading the School Head’s letter, would find his letter, which blames some consumerist families for treating the school as a credentialing factory, offensive? Or would they find it soulful that the school stresses not only ambitions and achievements, but also community service and compassion?

2.	In Hong Kong, to what extent does students’ socioeconomic status affect their chance of getting equal learning opportunities (receiving quality education, engaging in different learning experiences like exchange tours and using technology in education)? Justify your answer with examples and explain what can be done to ameliorate the problem.

One's socioeconomic status could only affect a tiny portion of some students' life, at the same time go as far as being detrimental to some's entire life and career. A wide disparity from two ends of a spectrum can be found. It is unfortunate but true that many are being derived of education opportunities just because of their background. To annihilate this problem, the government should give more support to those with poorer socioeconomic status, such as providing more scholarships and funding. The general public should also be more compassionate to these people and recognize talent for what it is, instead of focusing on monetary benefits for themselves.
