Solving them involves changing hearts and minds and solutions of that kind often threaten people's self-identity." -page 7</strong><br><br>Mean: What was the author trying to convey in that text?  <br><br><strong>Adaptive challenges require that we change the way that people view themselves and their work, which can be very uncomfortable. </strong><br><br>Matter: Why should we care? What are the implications for our work?<br><br><strong>We can't assume that when we try to create change that it is as simple as changing a procedure or a series of checklist steps. We have to take into account the "hearts and minds" and sense of loss that comes with change. </strong></div>]]></description>

Design Thinking allows this to occur.<br><br><strong>Matter: </strong><br>If we want to effectively lead quality schools that impact the school community (teachers, staff, parents) we have to engage other to involve them in the process of understanding the people we serve.
