I learned this week that children are categorized in our society by the type of learning disability they have. I think that children with a disability should be treated equally and not put in a different class room setting because the homeroom teacher isn't qualified to teach their learning disability. I learned that the state has categorized disabilities into 13 different sections. I liked all the information that I learned about special education this week. I feel that I have a little bit better understanding of special education.
- U.S. Department of Education 37th Annual Report to Congress on the Implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, 2015.
