Ernest Hemingway contributed to the Modern literary period by creating short stories and novels about the reality of war. His stories are much more minimalist with the writing of short simple sentences. Themes of masculinity, violence, and the meaning of life are frequently explored throughout Hemingway's writing.

This is a narrative method that aims to portray a character's inner thoughts and feelings as an unbroken flow of awareness, frequently lacking any visible or predictable narrative framework. Creative inner feelings and narrative fragmentation storytelling are some of its characteristics. The fragmented and discontinuous reality of existence in the early 20th century was represented in this literary method, which became a key trait of modernist writing.

What if my bathroom is flooded? Maybe I should go check. But I feel so comfortable here. I should really get up for school. But it’s so warm in my bed. Why do I have to go to school? I wish I could stay in this bed forever. But, I need to get ready for school soon. Maybe two more minutes.

Their new forms of art, music, and literature were very important to them since they shaped them after such a big war. It was a new form of inspiration for the future but also inspired current artists to make all forms of artwork during this period.

Or it could also be shaped by new strategies or growth and change in artistic style speaking about life in that current era. In addition, the loss of faith in the American dream and the bold experimentation in different styles and forms reflect the fragmentation of society.

This helped American modernism because during such a war it helped us improve our military and government, and more equality was put into place for colored people, they had a lot to do with the artistic style a lot of Americans had during this time with their music (jazz) and writings. Also, it helped the Americans be more secure in our states thus making it better for us for a brighter and safer future, a future sturdy enough for growth and improvement. Later these experiences and changes would be shared in different forms of art such as sculptures, writings, journals, paintings, or later on movies.

The roaring twenties really were a time to be in, it was an era of rebelling, and new art and styles came into place that replaced old ones, and helped start a new beginning for us Americans in really finding our own traditions, the American people in finding their own reason and importance as the US. Not copy anyone else but find our own forms of art and music, our own form of living and hopes, traditions, celebrations, or history. All these would be experiences shared differently, but also shared differently, expressed differently in different forms of art.

The experience itself was something to write about and express in different ways but the way the americans got out of it is even more rough yet impressive, many wrote of this depressing time era but also wrote about the growth in it. Americans worked hard and wrote about how their daily life was, but also after such a rough era they also made it better for themselves and their future. How times shifted from a average everyday schedule to one of loss and depression. To depression to a era of growth and of course how times changed there lives changed and how they shared it into forms of art, which were of course based off their personal experiences which would be similar yet very much different to each other.
