         <description><![CDATA[<div>A lot of people are talking about fashion sustainability in terms of clothing only, but few of them are actually talking about fashion jewels and accessories.&nbsp;<br>Specifically, I want to talk about jewel pieces that people used everyday (usually made from alloy or metal), not the high end one (made from gold or diamond).<br>There are a lot of jewels out there, which are belongs to fast fashion. They're mostly made from non recyclable and toxic materials, and so the waste of them will be a harm to the environment. Not only that, those jewels are mostly having a short life span as the result of the fast fashion trend. And most of them have a bad quality, make people throw them away after maximum a year of usage (because of rust or discoloration of the metal itself).<br>Here I've included a link to an article for more information about negative impacts and concerns of current jewelry business.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I have a desire to create a jewelry lines which is affordable, easy to wear yet will empowered people who wears it through it's design and creation process.<br>The main goals of this project/brand , is to make people see fashion jewels not only from it's aesthetic value but more than that. I want them to be able to feel the attachment toward each of the jewel pieces in terms of it's design, creation process and environmental value.&nbsp;<br>I believe that an eco-friendly and affordable jewelry brand is possible, and should be made as a trend. We should make people feel the pride of wearing them and encourage them to implement it towards their everyday life. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The value proposition of this brand project is to create an awareness towards humanity and environment through the products itself. <br>The products will focus on having a long lasting and functional design <strong>(aesthetic value)</strong>, made in ethical way and with bio-based or recycled waste materials <strong>(environmental value)</strong>. The brand also may have a fix and polish service, so the jewels will have an even longer life span.<br>Also, each piece of the products will have it's own back story and will support and do collaboration with a good organization/movement that have a similar goals with the brand itself <strong>(emotional value)</strong>. Hence, it will create a deeper connection between the brand and the consumers itself.<br>There are a lot of organization and movement that the brand can collaborate with, below here is one of the example. It is a foundation made by swarovski, and they give support human empowerment, environment and cultural heritage.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The business itself will have the combination of various models, but eventually will have <strong>community base as it's core</strong>. I want to the brand to be able to create a community that gather peoples who have the same vision with us and supporting the cause through our projects and products. The community itself also will be used for educational base for the consumer, in order to make sure that they know where the products came from and what cause that they get to support by purchasing our products.<br>This community base model also will be <strong>combined with circular model</strong>, as the brand will support the the usage of bio-based/recycled material and having a commitment to create circular system through long lasting products, usage of recycle materials and providing repairing service.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After conducting external survey, there are some feedbacks that I think, should be included in this business model :<br><br>1. Adding <strong>"technology and "digital" </strong>into the plan (in community, marketing and service strategy).<br><br>2. The need to <strong>review again the repair and polish service</strong>, as it may significantly decreased the quality of the products and create extra cost (which can be considered expensive).&nbsp;Maybe can do alternate ways to do the service.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The biggest aim of this brand is to create a sustainable solution for cheap and affordable jewels, and to do so we start it from the materials, as it cause the most damage to the environment.<br>As it is widely known, mining process of gold/silver (the most used metal for jewelry) has caused a lot of negative impact. It it said that the process of smelting (to separate the impurities from the gold) can released 142 mill tones sulphur dioxide to the atmosphere per year. The erosion created by mining activity caused a massive destruction to the soil, and the erosion itself caused water blockage. Not only that, toxic chemicals also being used to extract gold, hence poisoned a lot of workers and contaminate the water around it. <br>And for cheap jewels, which not using gold, are not giving solution to the environment issue either. Instead, it contributes to wastage mountain as people are mostly throw away their jewels after it tarnished or become rustic (and most of cheap jewels are made from non recyclable materials, thus make it impossible to be composed). It can also give negative impact to the health, as cheap jewels are mostly contained lead, cadmium, nickel and chromium (could lead to allergic reaction and health issues).<br>So instead of using virgin raw materials and cheap but toxic materials, then I decided to make jewels with recycled and bio based material. Recycled gold/silver and stainless steel are some options that can be chosen for recycled material, and bio based acrylic/beads can become an alternatives. <br>I've found no exact numbers to compare and make analysis about it, but I can say that each piece of jewels that this brand made will surely help to <strong>reduced wastage mountain, water pollution and health risk </strong>caused by toxic chemicals from jewelry process making for both consumers and workers.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The business will use <strong>"freemium concept"</strong> to cover the cost and attract customers to purchase the products :<br><br><strong>1. Product </strong><br>At first, we will provide digital customization on our website. Customers can create their desirable jewels visually without any need to pay (the app/web will provide the design template, then customers can mix and match it with our material, color, haberdashery options). <br>Then after the design is finished, customers can choose to pay to make their design comes true as a products (the products will be made according to the demand, so it will be more efficient and cost wise as there will be no dead stock). I think this strategy can reel and persuade customer to buy more of our products. It will also keep the cost low, as the brand will only create products based on the orders that the customer make.<br><br><strong>2. Service and Package<br></strong>After costumers decided to buy the products, then the brand will give an offer to upgrade the order in "package". The package will provide extra service (polish and repair) and will have 3 options : basic (for 1 times service), premium (for 3 times service) and VIP (for 5 times service). If customers buy the package, they can get cheaper price for the service rather than coming back later to do a single time service. This strategy is being made in order to cover the extra fee that the brand will need to do the service and make customers coming back to the shops/web.</div>]]></description>
