Once students have improved their own questions I think they should answer them and I think I would assign them a reflection on their work with their new questions compared to what they may have discovered with their old questions. Students would be encouraged by me in my role as their educator to seek more in depth knowledge of the questions they may not have modified to a higher DOK but could have there by developing a deeper understanding of the topic and questions assigned for a unit.
Step 1: Look at the questions you did not revise.
Step 2: Revise the others and answer them.
Step 3: Reflect and record what you learned compared to what you would have learned before you revised and improved the DOK level of your question.

What did you learn by brainstorming, refining and ranking your questions? That I could encourage a more in depth look at topics that I could have my students learn about in my classroom.

In what ways did changing questions from open to closed and vice versa help you look differently at the questions? It helped me explore the possibility to further engage students in their inquiry of learning.

How did classifying questions according to levels of thinking help you consider the questions you are asking? It helped me refine questions that were too low and did not require much thinking to ANSWER.

When and in what ways might you use the QFT process to help your students generate questions? This could be used at a the beginning of the unit to drive students towards an in depth look of the Executive Branch or Landmark Supreme Court Cases etc.

What strategies might you use to help your students push their questions to a higher level of thinking? Cooperative learning or think pair and share could be used to that students evaluate and edit each others questions to promote a higher level of knowledge with the questions asked.
