         <description><![CDATA[<div>To publicize this group teachers will be emailed a google form to nominate students they believe will benefit from becoming more responsible and organized and currently have zeros in classes.&nbsp; Daily announcements will be made during the normal announcement time so if students would like to nominate themselves they will be able to as well.&nbsp; Emails will be sent to students and parents to be able to communicate with the counselor to be able to nominate themselves or their child.</div>]]></description>

Conversations will be had with the students individually to determine their interest for the group.          <description><![CDATA[<div>When enrolling students each year in school students sign a consent form for the students to be able to talk with the counselor individually or in groups.&nbsp; Once the group has been established the counselor would give this form to the students so the students are able to give their assent as well so there is documentation of their intentions for the group.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Group Dynamics</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This group of freshmen will be a combination of males and females with a need for guidance in school work responsibility and organization.<br><br>Stage 1 - I plan to continue to be available for students to see between classes and such and not just be a person in an office they can go to to talk but someone who learns about them through their personality and experiences with myself. Group norms will be addressed when rules and guidelines are discussed. "What happens in the Organizers stays in the Organizers." We will discuss in-depth and each meeting how we are not in this group to learn something about someone else and go tell everyone that is not in the group about it.<br><br>Stage 2 - Members will be reminded on a meeting basis of the importance of the group, themselves. They are not there to benefit anyone besides themselves.&nbsp; We will check grades on an every other meeting basis to confirm the students are working towards taking responsibility for their grades and filling in missing assignments instead of accruing more missing assignments.<br><br>Stage 3 - Members will continue to report to the counselor about their progress in keeping organized and responsible for their academics with biweekly grade checks. Members will also be reminded they&nbsp;are more than welcome to share their strategies with friends to make them better but they should not share anything that does not directly pertain to themselves.</div>]]></description>

They must know that they are cared for and see the benefit in opening their minds to more responsibility and organizational skills as they are growing into young adults.  If the benefits of taking responsibility for their actions and organizing their everyday lives are placed in front of them they will see a need and benefit to strive to do better.  These skills will not stop once they graduate but will make them better people and more employable for careers in their future.</div>]]></description>
