In all my classes (grade 4&5) students were prepared with books and ready for class.

A list of students that take the bus divided for each class (rather than by driver) would be better… if this is not possible, then it would be better to have the list the week before so teacher could create that list in advance.

Students and parents were all very happy to see each other and start off the year positively

The AC needs to be checked, as it is hot and very claustrophobic inside the classroom.

Orientation Week Priorities

For new teachers, we need a written rundown of how the school day works (including e.g. attendance, cafeteria, pickup) in detail, with verbal explanation.

For everyone, the priority should be placed on being ready for Day/Week 1 classes: allocated planning time (we had high level 'planning' but no time for Day/Week 1 specifics), attendance system ready, timetable finalised, basic resources in classrooms (for students and teachers e.g. whiteboards, projectors, printers).

Mo works really hard but he has too many jobs. Resources should be a separate job for at least one person.

Young students can't focus after lunch. Morning is the best learning time but we have most of our classes in the afternoon. Instead of breaking the day into 1.5/2/3 sessions it could be 3/2/1.5.
