This book tells the story of Anna, a girl that attends the Oxford University and falls in love with Selim, a Bosnian boy. They have to face the hate of her father toward the foreign immigrants, held by him dangerous. Luckly they have the support of Jane, her father’s friend.

I liked a lot this book because it tells of love and solidarity. I recommend it to everybody, particurarly to the teenagers because it teaches us to not have prejudices

Les Misérables is an historical novel written by Victor Hugo in 1862. The novel has been retold many times, the book that I have read has been done by Jennifer Bassett. It tells the sad stories of poor people that leaves in France, the so-called “Misérables”. The major plot involves Jean Valijan, a poor man that spent ninteen years in prison for a loaf of bread. The prison changed Valijan that became a bad man. When he met the bishop, that saved him from prison, he changed and returned a good man. I really like this book beacause it teaches that people may change and to not have prejudices. I recommed it to everybody

The Wizard of Oz-L.Frank Baum-I grade

The Wizard of Oz was written by L. Frank Baum in 1900 and it is a fairy tale. It was a best seller when it came out and since then many films have been made of the book.
The story is about the adventures of Doroty, a girl that lives in kansas with her uncles and her dog Toto. One day a cyclone carried her house to a strange country called Oz. Doroty didn't know how to come back home and with her new friends, walking to the yellow brick road, went to the Emerald City, to find the Wizard of Oz that will help them.
The plot is full of both action and
the main character, Doroty, is not only a pretty and honest girl, but also very brave. Her friends, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion are also them honest and kind. The Scarecrow wanted that the Wizard of Oz gave him some brains; the Tin Man asked a heart to feel feelings and the Cowardly Lion wanted that the Wizard made him brave.
To sum up, the book is an exciting story and its message is that you don't need a brains to be cleaver, you don't need a heart to love and you don't need to drink potion to be brave. If you enjoy fairy tales and action story, I would definitely recommend reading this story.

Robinson Crusoe-Daniel Defoe-II grade

Robinson Crusoe was written by Daniel Defoe in 1719 and it is an adventure novel set in 15th century. This book was a best seller when it came out and since then many films have been made of it. The story is about the adventures of an English man, Robinson Crusoe, who decided to leave his family to make his own fortune. He had a lot of journey and during his second sea voyage he was captured as a slave. Luckily he managed to escape but his ship was hit by a storm and Robinson landing to a small island. But was that island really deserted?
The plot is full of action and suspence, it involves the reader a lot. The main character is not only a strong and honest man, but also very brave. A criticism that can be made of the book is that the Robinson’s life on the desert island is very ripetitive. To sum up, the book is an exciting story, it teaches to always follow own dreams. If you enjoy adventures and novel, I would definitely recommend reading this story.
