There, viola da gamba, means: Viola de pierna.

It is a bowed string instrument.
It has 6 strings.
It is similar to a celo.
The person who plays the viola da gamba it is called Linguee ( in spanish: violagambista.
It was used in groups, now a days called consorts, formed by violas of diferent sizes. With them hey played polyphonic music.

Is an early wind instrument that dates from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods, popular from 1500 to 1650. 
It was used in what are now called alta capellas or wind ensembles. 
It is not to be confused with the trumpet-like cornet.
Two cornetts were frequently used in consort with three sackbuts, often to double a church choir.
The cornett was an instrument of professional musicians.
It is from Brass Wind family.
