         <description><![CDATA[<div>It´s name comes from Italy.&nbsp;<br>There, viola da gamba, means: Viola de pierna.<br><br>It is a bowed string instrument.<br>It has 6 strings.<br>It is similar to a celo.<br>The person who plays the viola da gamba it is called Linguee ( in spanish: violagambista.<br>It was used in groups, now a days called consorts, formed by violas of diferent sizes.
