Example if you keep skipping class for the entire term, the teacher will not feel like teaching you and will not care much about you.

BP3- Skipping class will cause you to be behind in your studies and also distract students near you. for example, if you don’t come to school just because you don't feel like it, you will have to ask your friends about what happen that day and will have to catch up on that.

Your grades might decrease over time. For example, If participation points are measured in attendance, comments during lectures, or other in-person actions, skipping class means losing out on those points. Even if attendance and participation are not part of the class grade, repeated absences may factor in when professors are grading your projects and assignments.

Another consequence of skipping class Is that it might start a bad habit. As we repeatedly skip class, you will likely be tempted to skip again. This can lead to a pattern of skipping class that you never meant to get into. It’s best not to give yourself the chance to get into this habit at all by attending lectures each time.

Lastly, skipping classes might lead to anxiety. Although at that point in time, it might bring happiness and satisfaction, in the long run, If you skip a class, you may start to worry about what you missed. You also may need to start scrambling to catch up, reach out to classmates to find out what happened, and worry about what your instructor thinks about you. If you lean on the anxious side, it may be better to just attend the class and skip the worrying.

Disadvantages of having strict parents

1. Can lead to children lying.
- Children would rather lie that to face the harsh consequences that would be meted out on them if they are honest.

Example: a child forgets to return a book to the library and as a result, he has to pay a fine but is too scared to tell parents and like this, the fine accumulates and fine is never paid.

2. Increased risk of depression
- Growing up with strict parents, children are often subjected to harsh punishments and restricted boundaries, which can often make children feel impossible, which is very unhealthy.

Example: When children get very harsh punishments, such as getting grounded and getting beaten for just simple mistakes, like losing their wallet, children would feel very sad and depressed as the parent does not listen and empathise with them. The child might receive disastrous consequences when a worse mistake is committed, making them depressed.

3. Interfering with Motivation and Creativity
- Children are naturally inquisitive and creative little beings but when raised by strict parents, creativity is given an opportunity to be expressed or to be explored.

Example: A child is interested in Art but the parents do not want the child to pursue art but intsetad wants him to become a doctor and restricts his creativity by not letting him to do what he loves, which can often hurt the child’s mental wellbeing, thus making them lose motivation to what they are doing

Body Paragraph 1:
[point] A positive aspect of cancel culture is that it holds people accountable for their wrongdoings.
[elaboration] Once a person or influencer gets “cancelled”, they get educated about the importance of the subject and it teaches them not to make the same mistake again.
[example] For example, a popular YouTuber got cancelled for using racial slurs and the use of “blackface”, an offensive act that disrespects the affected community. Since then, he has learnt from his mistakes through the backlash from the internet and has made an “apology video” to apologise for his controversial actions.

Body Paragraph 2:
[point] Another aspect is that it is an effective way to combat social injustices online such as racism, sexism, or any other type of abuse or harmful acts to others, also helping in raising awareness on such topics.
[example] For example, once someone gets “cancelled” for doing a wrong act, others will be more cautious about what they say and do online.
[elaboration] This helps reduce the amounts of outrageous behaviour online, since people will be afraid of getting “cancelled” and thus be more respectful and self-aware online.

Body Paragraph 3:
[point] Lastly, cancel culture brings the online community together to stand up against injustice.
[elaboration] Although their means of educating the wrongdoer may go overboard, when someone is getting “cancelled”, the community unites for a common cause, which can be empowering. It rectifies power imbalance, as the whole community, despite from different backgrounds, come together to defend the victim(s) or communities that are affected.

1. Getting harshly reprimanded or even punished when making a mistake even if it is just a minor mistake. Example: even if you are young, and you could break something small like just a simple plate, having strict parents would still cause you to get scolded in a harsh manner or even cause you to get caned, instead of them patiently teaching you.

2. Feeling like a disappointment when you get bad grades in school. Parents that are strict usually have extremely high expectations of their children and want them to aim for the best, so they constantly push their expectations onto their child. Therefore, when their child does not do well for an exam or a test, like getting a “B” grade which is not that bad, they would tell their child to try harder or do better even if they have tried their best. This causes the child to feel like their efforts are useless and they are a disappointment since their parents openly express their disappointment towards the child instead of giving encouragement.

3. It could cause the child to lie a lot even at a young age. When the parents are strict, the child may fear the parents and fear their strict punishments. Due to this fear that has been instilled in them, they tend to lie about things they do to avoid their parents consequences. An example of this would be lying about where they are going. Children that have strict parents are usually not allowed to go out to places and have fun therefore, if the child would like to go out with their friends, they would have to like and say that they are going to somewhere like the library to study so that they do not get lectured about how they should not be having fun when there are more important things for them to do. They could even lie about this to avoid getting extra assignments from their parents as a punishment just for wanting to have fun.

Outline:
BP1- The parents and child will have lack of trust. This is because the child will not be able to tell their parents about any mistakes they have made out of fear that the parents will scold them and will never trust them with anything again. For example, they may have lost their water bottle at school, which isnt such a big problem, but strict parents may blow the situation out of proportion and scold the child badly, so the child would not come up to them to tell them about any mistakes they have made anymore. This is bad for them as in the future, they wont know how to deal with making mistakes and wont have a strong moral compass. Strict parents tend to be very overprotective of their children, so they set a lot of rules and restrictions, so the child will think that the parents dont trust them enough to give them freedom and privacy. This can be observed in thousands of stories all over the internet. The parents will also not trust the child as the child will become dishonest and do things behind the parents back, as suggested by a study conducted by a McGill University expert on children's social-cognitive development. The study by Victoria Talwar said that by producing an atmosphere of strict and oppressive parenting, children learn how to lie in order to escape punishment.

BP2- children will also develop antisocial tendencies, according to a new study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, how you parent your child could cause them to be more antisocial and aggressive and show more “callous-unemotional” (CU) traits such as a lack of empathy or lack of a moral compass. Children will become dishonest and start doing things behind the parents back they will become angry and rebellious and will eventually lash out at their parents as well as other people.

BP3- children might spend too much outside to avoid being with their parents, as the last thing they want to do is go back home to nagging and lack of validation from their parents. Children want attention and validation, all important things for a growing child. They do not want too many rules being set for them, which will rob them of their freedom and their ability to enjoy their childhood as much as other children. While some children with strict parents can sill enjoy their lives, others may have parents who are extremely restrictive and wont be able to enjoy their childhood very well. For example, they would have a lack of privacy. They wouldnt be able to spend a lot of time with their friends.

Body paragraph 1 - Cancel culture allows marginalised people to seek accountability for their wrong actions.
A prime example of this can be seen in forums, where the people have the ability to call out their countless abusers because the law might not be able to take notice of the many cases pouring in all day.

Body paragraph 2 - Cancel culture can help bring awareness to issues faced around the world. Few famous incident involves police officers being cancelled for mistreating people of colour. This incident enraged the general community and created the ‘BLM’ motive.

Body paragraph 3 - cancel culture helps to call out an individual for doing something that is not commonly accepted and disrespect certain cultures and their beliefs. The ‘n’ word is a racial slur that have become a common insult used towards people of colour. The word carries a significant history that cannot be used lightly. Generally, white people have started using this word towards people of colour without knowing the value behind this word, which can be insulting or disrespectful towards people of colour. So, cancel culture helps to stop this behaviour and allow people of colour to speak up about the use of this word and racial slurs.

Why are parents so overly strict with their children ? According to a poll that was conducted in 2018 , 77% if the parents were overly worried and wanted the best for their children. However, in the children’s perspective they feel restricted as their parents are overly protective . When the child voices their feelings out , it results in a conflict because most of the time parents feel that they are right.

Bp1
Children under the care of strict parents tend to feel like a bird locked up in a cage. They are not allowed to go out without parental supervision and have to be checked up on 24/7. They are out able to do what teenagers in general are allowed to do . Even simple things like going to a birthday party or to get lunch after school are not allowed and takes a lot of persuasion from the child to be able to go . This makes the child feel left out as according to a survey conducted in schools in 2017 , children with strict parents often feel left out and excluded .

Bp2
Moreover , children with strict parents find it difficult to be independent. Parents often accompany their children wherever they go even at a teenage age , which makes it harder when the child becomes an adult and needs to fend for himself. Children also have the difficulty of cultivating life skills as their parents are overprotective and wants to assist the child in everything .

Bp3
The child’s self esteem , confidence and metal health becomes worse overtime as they are always scolded for genuine mistakes. As i believe , making mistakes is better than faking perfections but parents believe other wise . Thus children will have the increased urge to do things perfectly or they would not feel worthy enough for their parents . They would also not have any space to make mistakes and room for improvement
