Theme: With the knowledge you possess, use it for good and help others even though others might not accept it. This connects two two characters Prospero and Caliban. Caliban helped Prospero with the island's surroundings and helped him get to know it while Prospero helped with language. Prospero still took him as a slave later but each possessed different knowledge and they helped others with it.

Act 2

People with power may not be who they seem except people who went through hardships and trials. In Act 2, Caliban meets Stephano and thinks he has dropped from the heavens so he has a rant where he thinks Stephano is god and he wants to only serve him now. A quote from the book says, "Hast thou not dropped from heaven...I have seen thee in her, and I do adore thee. My mistress showed me thee, and thy dog, and thy bush." (Act 2.2.142-145). he said he hadn't seen a man of great excellence like him and he wanted to worship him.

Act 3

Knowledge comes and goes for people, even if you spend time learning, make sure to use it for good and help others. In Act 3 Caliban told Stephano how they could kill Prospero. It started with taking his book and while he slept they could kill him. From what Caliban stated, "Why, as I told thee, ’tis a custom with him. I’ th’ afternoon to sleep. There thou mayst brain him, Having first seized his books, or with a log Batter his skull, or paunch him with a stake, Or cut his weasand with thy knife. Remember First to possess his books, for without them He’s but a sot, as I am, nor hath not One spirit to command," (3.2.96-103)
