They ate farmed vegetables, including beans, squash, and corn. A society, with descent and inheritance determined through one's mother.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>North American Indian tribe who speak a language of the Iroquoian family. They farmed in their villages until it was time to move on. They were also fishers and hunter, and gatherers. Most Iroquois clothing was made from deerskin. In the winter, they wore fringed deerskin shirts. Sometimes men wore kilts and caps that were covered with feathers. Iroquois women wore long deerskin skirts and leggings. They ate corn, beans, and squash. Groups of men built houses and palisades, fished, hunted, and engaged in military activities.</p>]]></description>
