I communicated with the staff when I enrolled at college because they asked me what I would like to do after my course. I spoke to staff about my GCSE results, and we also had a conversation about what job I would like. It went well because they didn't put a lot of pressure on me, and I didn't feel uncomfortable or anxious at any point.

I have communicated outside of college because of working. I communicate with customers and their food orders. This communication helps social speaking and helps a bit with anxiety. I also deal with wrong food orders which makes me communicate more as I have to sort it out.

For our group activity, everyone had to design a small square piece of paper with our name on one side and a fact about ourselves on the other. After we had completed the squares, we had to make a "quilt" out of them all by hole punching them and tying them together with string. This improved mine and everyone else's teamwork skills because we had to work together to complete the quilt. It was quite difficult at first but once everyone had shared ideas about how we would complete the quilt, it was a lot easier. We all helped each other out by communicating well and allocating different roles so the task would be completed faster. If I did this activity again, I would make sure everyone was involved as there was people that weren't participating.

At my induction, I had to work in a team because we played a game to turn a matt fully over. We all had to stand on the matt and if we fell off then we failed the game.

My grandad needs support in things he does as he is living with me currently. I help him do his daily chores like his washing and cleaning up. He also cannot have specific food due to health reasons so I have to make sure he keeps track of his diet.

I have participated in helping struggling food banks. I helped raise awareness around Christmas time that food banks need help. This got peoples attention and my old school donated a large amount of food to my local foodbank.

I use my own reusable water bottle at college instead of buying plastic ones everyday. This is better for the environment as not as much plastic is getting thrown away by me. It is also sustainable as it saves me a lot of money.

I get the bus everyday to college instead of getting dropped off in my mums car. This is sustainable because more people use the bus than my mums car and only a certain amount of fuel is used for a large amount of people on public transport. This helps pollution and reduce the amount of carbon dioxide.
