Of all the tools I explored for this PD, Stream impressed me the most. This was user-friendly and easy to upload. The storage space online is no problem for us, and the transcripts/subtitles make my videos more accessible and searchable. I can't believe I gave money to Screencastomatic when Stream was just waiting right there for me!

https://web.microsoftstream.com/video/d5ccbd69-3e44-4916-abb8-1fbab2c8f993

I found Aha Slides to be engaging and interactive for participants in the sessions today, and I loved printing up a spreadsheet afterwards of all the ways people interacted with the slides. I got to see each "smiley face emoticon" and when it was inserted, I got to tabulate each vote made on the polls, and, most importantly, I got to go back and read the short answers contributed to the open-ended questions. There are lots of new ways for audiences to interact with Aha, and I hope it continues to innovate to keep the novelty fresh. While it is the only resource that costs money on our lists, I do think it is worthwhile, and sharing a login might be a good idea for you and your chums.

https://web.microsoftstream.com/video/0f7de7d1-46c9-4c43-9b60-27f2185737ae

I love the simple layout and user interface on this online bulletin board, and I think the links to videos are a simple way to get our messages out there without clogging up some other channels. I also have been getting much more familiar with Microsoft Teams by creating Teams, creating private channels, and eventually adding staff members to those channels (hopefully by the end of this week) for our MTSS (new RTI) students.

This is my stream of conscious babble about Aha Slides which I think would be an incredibly useful tool to do quick formative assessments about a wide variety of topics. I wish I had read the fine print about the cost before playing around with it as I do not know that I can justify the cost unless I thought I would use it on a regular basis. I also thought that it would be incredibly useful for the Academic Decathlon program as it would allow me to create interactive presentations that would also give me instant feedback and engage the students. So really, this app engages students, provides feedback, and builds community all at once.

https://web.microsoftstream.com/video/5406bf23-28e3-4a11-ab07-06f1d6542256?list=studio

Canvas Studio allows you to create and store videos in Canvas. You can also import videos you already have on your computer or from YouTube. Once those videos are there, you can embed them into pretty much any Canvas application - Quizzes, Discussion Boards, Assignments, and Pages.

What's reeeaally cool about Studio though is that with any of those videos you add to Studio, you can then turn them into a quiz by adding questions at specific points directly into the video (much like how EdPuzzle functions). Using the videos in this way allows your students to gain instant feedback about their level of understanding of the video content.

If you want to learn how to embed these video quizzes into Canvas refer to this Canvas Guide - https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/tkb/articleprintpage/tkb-id/studio/article-id/24

If you want to learn all there is about Studio, refer to this Guide - https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Studio/tkb-p/studio
