         <description><![CDATA[<div>Comments<br><br>1. When someone looks at a culture all he/she sees is just the part of the iceberg above water. That person has no idea what is below until that person becomes involved with that particular culture.<br>2. Many cultures are similar in many ways you just can't see it on the outside.<br>3. You cannot assume any culture in anyway because you don't know what is on the inside.<br><br>Questions<br>1. Why does culture have such a big effect on people's lives?<br>2.  What are the similarities between different cultures?</div>]]></description>

Can one small cultural misunderstanding/misinterpretation lead to detrimental outcomes? Why/How?<br>     b.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>3 Thoughts:<br></strong>- It can influence how someone thinks, believes, values, humors, hopes, and loyalties.<br>- When working with people, it is vital to know their cultures and religious backgrounds. This is because they can make decisions you might not be thinking about or even know of.<br>-  Surface culture is quite obvious to the eye, however deep culture is what is the most part of what a person decides to do, believe or choose.<br><br><strong>2 Questions: <br></strong>- In the same cultural community, are there any differences in their beliefs and choices and what they do, even though they are from the same culture? How?<br>- Can we live without culture? What would the world be like without it?<br><br><strong>1 Analogy:</strong><br>- Culture is like a pin— when it is drilled into the wall, you only see the <em>head </em>of things. However when you pull it out to get a closer/deeper look, you will really see what you are missing out on— and parts of it can be quite sharp and painful as well.</div>]]></description>
